Tell us about something you’re really proud of.
I am a first-generation college graduate, so my undergraduate and graduate ceremonies were the first my family had ever attended, and they were so excited! Those moments will always be special to me, and I owe them to the generous community of people who fostered my love for learning.
If you weren’t in PR, what would you be doing?
If I weren’t in PR, I would likely be working as an English or Theatre teacher. Prior to my time with TEG, I was a private ELA tutor, led theatre classes, and considered pursuing a third degree in Creative Writing. Whether or not I am working in PR, I love words, education, and art, which I believe are passions that lead to a variety of career avenues.
What do you enjoy most about your area of the Gulf South?
I am a born and raised New Orleanian and proud of it! The warm, eccentric people that populate this community are unrivaled, as is the food and culture that come along with them. I revel in the opportunity to dawn a crazy costume and walk the streets amid the wild parades and celebrations that are constantly unfolding. Though I have lived here my whole life, I never find myself bored. I travel often, but little compares to home. Whenever I land back in New Orleans, I can’t keep myself from smiling and feeling instantly at peace in what I believe is one of the best cities in the world.
What do you do for fun outside of the office?
Outside of the office, I love to sing, act, play the piano, and listen to stories in any way I can. Whether it’s reading a book, watching a movie, or seeing a play, I have a flair for the dramatic and a passion for the art of storytelling.
