If you weren’t in PR, what would you be doing?

One of my degrees is in history and I probably would have continued my education in this area. I would have enjoyed studying and writing books about the history of the U.S. and European influence in the Middle East and Africa and how this has shaped the world today.

What’s your favorite sports team?

2021 National Champion Georgia Bulldawgs!

Where did you grow up?

I spent my childhood in Baton Rouge, but after Katrina, my family relocated to the Dallas suburbs where I attended high school. When we moved to Dallas, it was near the beginning of its boom. Houses, shops, schools were all brand new. This was a huge change from Louisiana where my elementary school was founded in the 1950s. I enjoyed the newness but missed the solid traditions and community you find in southern Louisiana.

What do you think makes the Gulf South so unique?

My favorite thing about the Gulf South is the strong sense of community. Having lived in large metro areas, one of the first things I noticed upon moving back is how welcoming and friendly everyone is.

What do you do for fun outside of the office?

One of my favorite things to do is find good stand-up comedy in the area or see a local band perform live. It’s a change of pace from usual weekend activities and helps me discover new music.
