Who has been a big influence in your career?

Growing up, my parents always let me watch the news with them before I had to go to bed. Very early on, I loved knowing what was going on in the world and was fascinated with how reporters would get creative to tell their story. This kickstarted a love for media and journalism that catapulted me into the communication industry.

What’s something you’re really proud of?

My dream since I was in high school was to win an Emmy Award. In March of 2022, I was producing a newscast when we received an alert of bad weather, before a tornado was reported to have touched down in the area. As we went into instant wall-to-wall weather and damage reporting, the big moment came when we were able to catch the tornado on camera, as it moved into Arabi. For my work in live-producing this multi-hour coverage, I was nominated for an Emmy Award and won in the Breaking News (Multiple Reports) category.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up on the Northshore in Mandeville. We lived in a neighborhood where kids would play and ride bikes until the streetlights came on. It was a very safe and beautiful area with lots of greenery. I was fortunate to also have family on the Southshore and would spend summers hanging out with cousins at Maw-Maw’s house in the Bonnabel area of Metairie. I consider myself extremely lucky to have such a large, loving and crazy family!

What do you like to do for fun outside of the office?

Outside of the office, I love hanging out with my family and friends. I enjoy board games (I’m really competitive!), hearing good jokes and re-watching sitcoms. You can likely find me at a coffee shop and getting way too many shots of espresso added to my iced latte! My sidekick, Brady, is a Labrador-mix and you’ll spot him with his head out the back window of my car as we cruise around!
