TEG Takes Top Honors at the 61st Annual Press Club New Orleans Awards Gala
The Ehrhardt Group (TEG) took home four Press Club Awards – the most awards won by a PR firm at this year’s gala – including “Best Public Relations Overall Campaign” at the 61st Annual Press Club New Orleans Excellence in Journalism Awards Gala.
TEG received awards in the following categories:
PR Overall Campaign – First Place
This campaign focused on increasing ticket sales for a mega-sports entertainment event by implementing strategic media relations, community outreach and event partnerships to maximize public awareness. The campaign helped the event become a monumental success, breaking the Mercedes-Benz Superdome’s record for highest grossing event to date, yielding $14.1 million in publicity value and generating an economic impact of $175 million for the city of New Orleans.
Public Affairs Campaign – First Place
TEG executed an effective public affairs campaign to engage the media and educate voters on the advantages of passing a new tax millage on the ballot. TEG utilized community outreach, social media and endorsements from local newspapers. The millage received a 60 percent positive endorsement and will generate $4.75 million annually for the next 10 years to improve hurricane protection.
Digital Media – Second Place
TEG produced a video to promote the importance of the chemical industry in Louisiana and the role of an investment incentive that would help attract new industries to the community, thereby creating jobs and economic growth for parishes across the state.
PR Overall Campaign – Third Place
TEG executed a thorough communications plan to educate the news media and local community on the positive impacts of the restructuring of a parish school system through key messages, media interviews and community outreach efforts.
TEG is proud to work with clients who continually push the envelope and make our community great. Every day, we continue to craft stories that compel, inspire and educate on their behalf. We thank the Press Club of New Orleans for this year’s honors.
