NEW ORLEANS – (Jan. 26, 2018) – The Ehrhardt Group (TEG) today announced the hiring of Katie Mitchell as account executive and Seth Gilgus as account administrator. Mitchell joins the firm after spending multiple years working on Capitol Hill, where she served as a legislative correspondent for the United States Senate and as a policy adviser for the United States House of Representatives. Gilgus is a recent graduate of Syracuse University’s public relations and political science programs, and brings quality internship experience from multiple well-known public relations agencies.

Katie Mitchell executes media relations and community outreach initiatives for a variety of clients in the oil and gas, medical and retail industries throughout the Gulf Coast area. A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Mitchell graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Following graduation, Mitchell served as a legislative correspondent for the United States Senate where she managed various legislative projects and organized constituent sentiment on a number of key issues, including healthcare, labor, welfare and small business challenges, among others. Prior to joining TEG, Mitchell managed legislative initiatives as a policy advisor for The United States House of Representatives, where she introduced and guided the House passage of the healthcare legislation.

Seth Gilgus works with a diverse group of clients in the corporate, hospitality and tourism industries. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Gilgus earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and political science from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. While in college, Gilgus gained valuable PR and media experience during an internship with Quinn PR in New York. Following his move to New Orleans, Gilgus served as a public relations intern at Bond Moroch and as digital specialist at Online Optimism. Before his hire at TEG, Gilgus started TFC Media Management, where he provided public relations and social media services to clients in the travel, hospitality and lifestyle industries.
